well, you can drill holes to start.

there are also magnetic license plate mounts that a number of folks have used on here with good results (as in the plate doesn't fall off at highway speeds).

is the bumper you're getting going to come with the cutout for a winch? do you plan on installing a winch? that opens up your options a little.

We run two welders here, all day, every day. One is a Lincoln 210MP which went down two weeks ago, took a week to fix. Just got it back a few days ago and this morning the board goes in the Miller 252... If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck at all. Oh and both are less than a year old. Pretty damn difficult to keep up with unreliable NEW equipment.

Both have on board internal fans. The Lincoln fan runs at all time. The Miller kicks on as it heats up.

MIG and typically no more than 3/16" thick.

but they are amazeballs! first tig machine I ever used was a $25k unit in the machine shop at collage. the shop manager showed us some crazy thick plate they welded with it, and then said watch this. he screwed with the settings for about 20 seconds, and then proceeded to tig two pieces of aluminum foil together

Holy shit. I'm also now convinced you can weld miracles with a nice tig machine and a skilled operator

Water coolers do kick ass. I used a few at a prior career.

Its not that hot in the garage. We have big fans moving air. Where I worked prior was way hotter, taxing the machines way more and they never had issues.

I just have bad luck with electronics.

I was a bicycle mechanic at a local shop through college. one of the other mechanics at the time was a retired machinist and aircraft mechanic for NASA, right up the road. he would brag about being able to weld two soda cans together. incredibly impressive, but fairly common for an experienced tig welder to be capable of. the tin foil still blows my mind.

If welding 3/16", go with stick welding!

Soda cans are what? 18 gauge sheet aluminum? Tin foil is like, a 2 thousandths sheet... That's insane to stick together.. I'd imagine the finished weld would be three or four times as thick as the foil

Mob could you do a front skid plate? From my Arb back a little? nothing fancy just flat steel joining the bumper and possibly somewhere back to the steering rack?

Alright just got new tires so asking around here if anyone wants my old Duratrecs I recommend them for OFF ROAD RIMS ONLY to you guys cause I like y'all. They have plenty of life I just needed a smoother ride and got a killer deal for the new tires. $860 for 4 tires with road hazard, lifetime rotation and balance, lifetime alignments, and a $70 rebate from Bridgestone. I went with the Revo2s because I'm doing more highway and camping and less offroading. I'll edit this post once I get the pics and add a price.

Also does any one run the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in their trucks? I'm interested in switching from Mobile one but wanted some feed back. Their ad says 65% cleaner pistons compaired to Mobile1
