That's a huge help. I have the FJ trail wheels, I'm positive they're 7.5. I thought you said you once had the icon RR ext. coilovers. did you ever experience any rubbing on the hosing? and what size wheel spacers you running?

@1buzzbait I can back you on RG, stayed there plenty, done all the bike trails, some fishing and several of the triathlons. It is a very nice campground good facilities, just feels strange seeing the casino now, but everyone likes something.

Hey Guys. I'm a total moron. Because of a slight decline, I think I may have inadvertently overfilled the oil by 2-3 qts during an oil change. After a short test drive around the neighborhood, I saw oil spots and splatter all over the road. The engine rpms were low and there were some vibrations in drive at 0mph. Moving a little the truck kind of went sluggish and rpms dropped before actually moving and then rpms seemed fine. I checked the oil level with the dipstick and see it's about 3 inches over the high mark. I parked on a flat surface and started draining the oil. After about 20 seconds, the heavy flow stopped completely. The dipstick, however, is still reading about 2 inches over the high mark. Not wanting to damage the truck further... I backed it in my driveway, which is about 45 degrees. So the front end is raised over the back end. My plan is to drain the oil tomorrow after letting it sit overnight. Then refill with 5.2q is 5w-30.

    My questions are:

    1. Did I fuck up my truck?
    2. Do I have the right plan moving forward?
    3. Does 5.2q sound right?

    Truck:
    2015 Tacoma double cab v6 4.0L 4x4

    Thanks guys,
    Joe

So little updates from my end, Back in MD for good now, done with school and starting my job on Monday-full time Marine mechanic a the shop where I did my apprenticeship. Been using this week off to work on the truck pretty much everyday.

First up was a 1" body lift from 4Crawler.com, cost about 100$ and was a fairly simple install besides one stuck bed bolt I had to drill and tap, and the steering extension was extremely hard to work with. Im planning on going on 33's soon so I wanted that extra inch of clearance. Really like the outcome:

Then since I couldn't stand the gap between my Arb and the body and always thought the Arb mounting was a little under Par I drilled out new holes one inch up with 7/16 Grade 8 Hardware, sits much nicer now:

Then took the opportunity to install my new Smittybilt 9500 winch my fiancé got me for graduation, this was not nearly as easy as i thought since the winch motor wouldn't clear the inside mounts and the clutch handle hit as well. I had to make some spacers and its still no easy task to change directions. I spooled it up with some Master Pull 3/8 synthetic line I had from my last winch I thought would use and installed a factor 55 Pro-Link. Really like it so far.

Oh and Also got my first Tattoo while I was at school:

Still have to take my seats out tomorrow and clean them as they're pretty rough right now, and clean up some wiring. It never ends....

Was just thinking about that today actually, I think I may wait until after I get the 4:88s gears. Im really starting to get heavy here and the trucks not liking it. Ill probably have you do the skid plate as well if you could. Ill let ya know for sure.
