Had more luck with both of them in the last few years than fedex

They all suck. We've used all three and go with FedEx because they're far less expensive than the other two. Since the customer pays the shipping it only makes sense.

I don't want to be a homeowner anymore. I tried to fix my garage door opener this morning which was unsuccessful because somehow the Green board was broken inside of the unit. So I just left Lowes with a new one.

I agree with you. While i was laid up with that stomach virus this past week my kitchen sink drain got clogged, bad, which resulted in me having to disassemble the drain for it that's in the basement to clear the clog. While i was in the basement dealing with that i noticed that the supply pipe for my toilet was leaking so i also had to fix that. Of course it all had to happen while i'm sick!

I'm almost done. All is installed. What's left is to run wire for sensors and switch. Kid was fussing so I'll get he to sleep and finish up.

Chamberland Liftmaster 1/2 hp. Replaced what was there for the same one. It's loud but I don't care. The quiet ones are too much money.

Yes, that Chamberland is a good one. Is good that you did not get the Genie with the screw type rail, those a pain in the rear.

So I hear. I went with old school tried and true. It's loud since its chain driven but hey, it was also half the price as the other ones.

Thanks guys. all my test results came back clear, no appendicitis even though all my symptoms were a dead match to it. so they sent me home on a clear liquid diet for a while and said to come back if i have any issues... not sure what i did but dammit :annoyed: there goes the season championship for rallycross lol

Keep the chain tight and put lubricant in all moving parts, including the plastic gear inside the opener (that takes lithium grease) and it should not be that loud. Also, make sure the door is properly balanced.
