Gate to the property is opened IIRC at 6am, the official time to show up is between 8 and 9 AM, drivers meeting at 9:30, we try to get the first car off the line at 10. when you arrive, even if your not racing youll need to sign the waiver and get a wristband, just ask someone and theyll point you to the correct person, no charge for just coming and spectating. most people are happy to give ride alongs if you ask, but i will say riding in some of the Modified AWD cars is a 10,000 dollar ride, as youll want to get a car and come back, thats how i got hooked lol. anything else you want to know?

My buddy has an old beater subaru that he bought as a spare car, anyway he could rip if he brings it? What all would he need?

Is there a website or facebook page or something?

yes to both. Here is the Website for the DC region and heres the link to the rulebook he'll need to figure out what class he is in based on what has been done to the car, the rulebook explains what is allowed for each category. he will either need to bring a Snell 2005 or newer helmet, the DOT rated ones arent allowed, it has to be snell or one of the other listed ones. he can also borrow a helmet if he dosent have one, since they are a bit pricey. and i highly reccomend a set of snow tires, as they give you a decent amount of grip, Firestone winterforces are a favorite of the community and are cheap at $50 a tire, and you can run them in every class. also make sure to read the Supplementary regs posted on the regional site, since theres a few things there that arent listed in the main rulebook. Hell also need to either register as an SCCA member through the SCCA's website, or can purchase a weekend membership for IIRC $10 if he dosent want to get balls deep.

More than welcome to bring the camera along, they will probably want you to stay around the corner workers so if somone gets out of control and you have your head in the camera they can save your ass. heres a link to the , and that we all BS and post pics from the events in, we love whoring our cars out for the camera so the more the merrier when it comes to pictures

Edit: also Painters tape makes excellent numbers, and does well for hiding the license plates so your insurance dosent drop the car.

yup, we actually have a guy that rents various ford focus's and fiestas and come out to the events with the liscense plate and the rental company stickers taped over, its hilarious. also had a guy show up in a 2016 rental ecoboost mustang an event or two ago, it was comical because that thing had 0 ground clearance and spun like crazy because RWD on summer tires.

You can drool over my truck, i won't bore you with the bike since some people aren't into motorcycles

Plus i'd want to rip the track on it and i highly, highly doubt they'd let that happen....

yup, and IMO its a shit ton easier to transport a bike and gear to/from a stage than a full rally car
