I want to s/c it but I won't because I prefer it to stay reliable.

Hey now. LS motors are great, but so are the coyote motors. Parents had a 99 SS Camaro with the SLP Package. What a fun car that was.

I can agree with that. They're starting to prove their worth but I'd still rather stick to a motors that been proven for decades.

With that said, you still bought a 2016 Tacoma with a brand new V6 under the hood. Everything has to get it's start somewhere.

True. But we only bought it to design all the things and will offload it once done. I personally wouldn't own one. I'm just not comfortable in midsize trucks.

I hear ya, I looked at mid and full size before buying my Tacoma. Really don't need a full size, don't need a pickup at all lol just wanted one. I'm happy with it so far, i'll be even happier when I get the front end aligned right once and for all. Shop that did the alignment after the lift had no idea how to align a lifted IFS truck.

I never understood why so many shops have issues just because its lifted. it still aligns the same way with the same specs dammit!

No it doesn't, you can't use OEM specs when aligning a lifted truck. Setting it to OEM specs is what they always do, that's why so many people have problems with run of the mill alignment shops.

To be totally honest, I don't know exactly what the magic number is once lifted. I do know I apparently currently have 0 caster which is a huge problem and major cause of my bad bump steer. Shop has tried twice now, I won't give them a 3rd chance. Time to move on to someone else.

Crazy I know. It was more a nostalgia thing. I learned to drive in a '88 Toyota Pickup. Regular cab, black, 22re with 5 speed manual. I loved that truck so I bought the same except a 2014. Them quickly learned I was way too tall for it.

I can't do a regular cab either; and a manual is just too brutal. Knee into the dash every time i go to use the clutch.

The alignment on a lifted truck is different. when I do them I don't look at the specs I try to get them the closest I could get to the center of the bar and match the other side. it has never failed me, and I'm working with a freaking dinosaur of a machine.

I believe the Tacoma does like about 3* of caster though. Where is your shop?
