Yeah, I just wish manufactures could put in a true off switch without the liability, as ABS, VSC, and Traction control are downright dangerous during the winter. I hit a curb last winter becuase the VSC cut my power and wouldn't let me use the throttle to correct a slide, so I went over a curb and nearly ran over a little kid coming home from work.

Yeah. The long press to disable the whatever is silly. In my civic it was like barely 1 second to fully disengage all driving "aids". In my ranger there was no traction or stability control. It was glorious.

That said it's really only an issue the 10% of the time I use 4wd in my Toyota. Not a huge issue but very annoying when it happens. Even more annoying having to press the sequence of buttons for ten seconds to disable the systems. Not exactly doable in an emergency situation if it should arise.

its actually impossible. you cant disable the traction control while moving, you have to come to a complete stop, then depress the button.

To fully disable traction and stability, you hold the traction control switch in the overhead console down for a few seconds am I right?

idk about third gens, but in the second gen, its a switch to the left of the steering wheel, and it only puts the aids in "nanny" mode, so they still kick in, just takes longer

Maybe we can make it not there to? Pull a fuse or two? Remove the annoying warning bulbs from the dash. Who wants to try it?

Hey all, I hate to jump in the middle here but I'm searching locally for a rear bumper for my 16' TRDOR. She got spanked by a texting teenager in a Honda Fit tonight. It's weird and hard to explain, but there is literally a chunk of the chrome/plastic portion taken out. As in, there is a hole in my bumper about 4" inches wide. Guess it was her license plate mount. However, everything else looks perfectly fine on my end. This is literally why I keep a hitch on 24/7...

I'm located in Westminster MD, don't mind road trips within reason, and don't mind paying for shipping. I'll take any model rear bumper. If it's painted, OK, ..after market or SR is a bonus though. Let me know if anyone has anything. Thanks!

You really should have the truck looked over, insurance covers it of course. The frames on these trucks seem to bend very easily. I've seen quite a few guys take a relatively soft hit and have the frame buckle around the rear can mounts or rear shackle mounts. It's a brand new truck, I'd play it safe. It's kinda scary how easily these things bend honestly.

Yes that's correct. Instead of a single press you hold it for a bit and everything turns off.

    Sure would be nice.

    I'd like 400 wheel. That'd be enough.

    I'd never boost this motor.

If it was new, that'd be different.

I just cannot put forced induction on a worn motor. I'll never trust it. So for the money it'd cost me to build this motor into a forged motor just to boost it, i'd loose my ass.

Built 2JZ with VVTI and a low boost single turbo would be nice.
