I was in the air for the eclipse. Wasn't going to try and shoot the sun directly, but this is what 60% coverage looks like in CA

And the same pic with some editing. I'm super bored right now as my layover keeps getting extended.

Maybe true but I've never left Walmart without spending at least 100 bucks so see I saved all kinds of money

I have not been contacted by anyone thus far.

They can download the full res Jpegs from flickr... but they can also download both jpeg and raw (nef) files on my google drive, I just have to give them the link whenever they ask for it.

I'm no professional by any means. Because the event was free and everyone was so nice, I absolutely do not have any problem with giving any of them access to any of the photos. I'm sure you guys all like to update your facebooks with pictures from every event. I just ask that people acknowledge that I took them and give me some sort of credit or at least link to my flickr page.

But just in case there are any other photography buffs that want to edit the raw files themselves, they are welcome to download those or the regular files via my google drive. If they do not want to edit them, they only need the jpegs. Because most places won't allow you to upload raw files without first converting them back to jpegs.

All of that is what i explain to anyone who comes to me and asks for the images :)

Thank you! I think everyone had a blast. I know I did. So did my friend who I drug out of bed and made come to it as well. Pretty sure Matt had a blast too!

Nikon D3200 with kit lens. I'm saving for two more lenses and then a D7200 is in my future

Sweet! I do believe Costco is still selling that along with two lenses as a bundle.

If I wasn't working I probably would have been around just for the sights.

I have two videos. Both under 90 seconds. I'll upload them to my youtube and google drive so you can have them

They probably are. I think it was $650 back in 2014 when I got it. I have used the big lens exactly 3 times. Would've rather had an 18-105 instead of a 55-200.

Its a fantastic starter camera and took me from guide mode where it does everything to me using full manual everything.

Eventually i'd like to have a full frame sensor and focus in the body but thats $$$$ :(

Just a few more questions about Green Ridge, and camping in general. In case you haven't already seen my profile or whatever, I'm only 16 (Don't lose respect, I swear I'm cool). Do the camp sites at Green Ridge have the age restriction? bc if they do I understand but that blows. Also, Do you need to have a "state certified off road vehicle" to do some trail riding? I was planning on heading up there this weekend with a friend or two, but it's a no go if I can't rent a campsite. Oh and I also read somewhere that the "Old ORV Trails" are closed now? Any info would be great.

Any vehicle with tags can go in GR.

I'm pretty sure you have to be at least 18 to camp there or at least have an adult with you.

Yes, the ORV trails are closed. Its a bummer. But there is nothing we can do about that. It was open years ago to everything from bicycles to motorcycles, atvs, jeeps, utvs, trucks...just about anyone with 4wd and all terrain tires could traverse it

That's a bummer... Oh well, I'll wait for a group expedition or I'll ask my old man to come.

Before I was 18 I took my Jeep up there, after dark, left some money in the box, and found an empty campground and signed it out. Never had an issue.
