Damnit I wish I saw this sooner. I've been looking for a 2-3 year old pit that comes from a home with cats.

Wish you did see my post sooner. It would've been cool to see him go to a fellow TW member. He's a cool dog. He needed to be neutered tho, I couldn't own a dog that has bigger balls than me lol. I texted some pics to a buddy so he could ask around for me & he replied "what's up with that growth on his r/r leg?" I told him that's not a growth thats his balls swinging! Lol.

@AR15xAR10 heres the results. truthfully, i need to spend a day repainting all the little rock chips and missing paint for it to be decent. 10 years of daily driver abuse has not been kind to the paint at all, nor the wheels. But, it did clean up a lot better and the claybar impressed me a lot with all the junk it got out.

thanks. its not too bad for about 2 hours of work. the claybar did require a lot of passes to get the panels anywhere near where they needed to be, i ended up using the entire kit (mainly cause i accidentally dropped one of the bars, RIP) and theres still a few spots that probably need more work, but for a DD its not bad at all.

Just add a sealant (or wax) and you're good to go for a few months

I did do that, although i feel like theres better sealants than the one i used. i stayed cheap this time just because i wasnt sure the truck would actually clean up as well as it did, but im looking at picking up some Adam's stuff for next time

I understand the detail thing now. I actually got the paint clean enough that its got a shine that i haven't seen before, even when i first bought it. I do need to link up with you one day and have you attack my truck with a buffer and see if some of the deeper scratches will come out.

on a side note, walmart special wash mits and microfiber towels shed like a motherfucker. 0/10 do not recommend.

I'm no good at running a buffer. Still need practice on that. Its right below drying on my list of least favorite things about the detailing process

If you want budget microfibers, griots garage and gliptone have some afordable options.

Adams Polishes towels are expenive, but they are so damn good. Just need more of them because they get dirty so fast

    Yawn...
So... you don't bother saving them in the washing machine?

Are microfiber towels no longer good after a single use/wash?

well id be willing to let you learn, someone came before you and burned a spot on my clearcoat, so you cant make it any worse. And what is it about drying that you find annoying?

yeah. and by dirty, do you mean clog up beyond whats cleanable?

They absolutely can be reused! Good towels have lasted me years. I used to use old house towels before all this microfiber craze started. But they can be so hard on your paint if you don't use softener on them. But if you use fabric softener on them, they won't absorb water for shit

No. I don't think i've ever ruined one. But doing it all the time, you can get a feel for when they are no longer doing their job and its time to throw them in the wash and grab a clean ine

I'd also like to add, i am absolutely by no means a professional detailer and my opinion is soley my own, which literally does not matter.

So take my advice, if you can call it that, with a grain of salt.

Many people have cleaned their vehicles the same way for years and have always had good results with in store brands, which is wonderful. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here....i simply have found some better products to make the detailing process work for me. I've tried a lot of stuff. But so far adams polishes is a 10/10 on customer service and a 9/10 on products.

I'm a big fan of Adams, chemical guys and meguiars. As far as a sealant wax check out jetseal I use it and have pretty good results with it. You can use it alone or put a coat of wax over it. I actually clay barred jetsealed and waxed the wife's vehicle last night turned out good.
