Just notice for some reason my engine temps have recently increased about 5 degrees even with the cooler air temps and I had to add a little coolant to the overflow ,haven't notice any leaks

 

Check your oil, make sure it's still clean and not milky or foamy.

 

It's clean first thing I thought was Head gasket

 

Possible the stat is sticking and that's your temp issue? Could also be a super slow leak and that's why you're not seeing it on the ground.

 

could also be like my father's truck that is leaking coolant into the cylinder itself, but not enough to hydrolock it

 

Well on the hottest days it's average temps were 199-201 spiked a little in traffic or up hill , now on a 9 mile ride it's about 203- 206 with spikes up to 210 and that was Saturday when it was in 50s

 

Well haven't noticed any burn off or smell,smoke in exhaust

 

Finally home. Definitely saw a lot more traffic at GWNF than I did last time, however we stayed 2 nights and 2 days, which allowed for a lot more exploration time. I think out of the maybe 15 vehicles we came across, maybe 9-10 were tacomas. 3-4 had dog cages and were bear hunting, and we passed a really nice lady driven 2nd gen and some 4runners, it was love at first sight (though the feeling wasn't mutual).

Trails were a good bit sloppier with the rain, which made the trails a lot more fun, but by the end of last night, we accidentally stumbled on the best campsite I've ever seen in my life. After a gorgeous sunrise, some bacon and pancakes, and a quick cleanup, we hit Feedstone Mountain trail and ended up having to do some trail maintenance due to some fallen trees. Cannot wait to go back, we ended up having to turn around due to overgrown brush sheltering a low hanging fallen tree.

10/10 will go back soon. I love this place.

 

I'd do the thermostat and a cooling system flush with nice new antifreeze. When is the last time it was changed?

 

God only knows lol,I haven't done it since I've owned it almost 3 yrs I'm actually over due for a timing belt and wpump (no maintenance records)any way so might as well plan on that soon

 

Guess I'll be paying for this to be done I don't have time to do it

So I spent a few hours this weekend messing around with my welder (110 fluxcore sux) and fabbed this target stand its rough but it'll get the job done. Need more practice with my welder

 

Thats all i know how to use, and i'm certain i'm worse at it than you

 

Don't know about that by the time I started getting somewhat decent welds out of it I was done so let's just not let Mobtown or tony look at them lol
