I'm going to be drilling a 3/4" hole in my roof soon. Thought you'd like the sound of that.

Drilling the holes for the prinsu wasn't as bad as I thought. Installing the rivnuts was a pain though. If I could do it again, I'd splurge and get the $70 rivnut puller from Amazon to get perfectly installed rivnuts. Mine weren't perfect, so like 6 out of my 12 are a little off. The result was I couldn't thread in the bolts properly, as they'd just crossthread. I said fuck it and just ran them down with an impact. That bitch isn't going anywhere

I didn't really have any other realistic options. It was either take the time to notch the prinsu, painting the raw metal, etc. Or take the time to drop the headliner, dremel out the bad rivnuts, and reinstall. OR just do what I did. If I ever need to, I can dremel out and replace them but for now I didn't see the purpose.

I'm studying for my HAM license right now, since I have so much time at work. I heard people say "Yeah I studied for an hour and went in and tested and passed!" Well they're full of shit. This is a lot of info.

This is the resource I'm using to pass the test. It pretty much just teaches you the answers, but in a slightly easier format to read. I'm just taking practice tests and reading this, and more tests as I read some more. I'm now passing the practice tests more consistently as I'm going along. I found what helped me was to schedule the test, then study as that's motivation. I only gave myself a couple days, because I want to be able to use HAM at the mobtown event. I test tomorrow afternoon.
