I have the oakley radarlocks that I bought 3 years ago and still love. I have had multiple different lenses in them because if you drop them especially with no bottom frame.... SCRATCH!!! before these costa's, which were a gift, that's all I wore! it was oakley errrrythang Those are my "business", sports, cruising, etc glasses because they are polarized although I do not see a huge difference in the costa and oakley polarized vs. not unless my costas are polarized as well!

@Gaunt596 hey man, I decided to sell my RTT, so I'm gonna keep the roof rack since it'll just be for lighter things. Sorry about that.

being long of tooth, I had some prescription Ray Ban bifocals, that had the polarized lens and all, well I had my katillacs replaced earlier this year and couldn't use them, did a lil research and Luxottica (who makes Ray Bans and others) sent me polarized glass lenses that were specific for my frames, $48.00. cannot beat that wif a sharp stick. 2nd life for my Bans!!!

    I only wear Oakleys.

All I wear are Oakleys. I have insurance through my work and then just the optical plan through the wifes job. That way I can get my business and play versions. Street value with all the bells and whistles are upwards of $1k + per pair (carbon fiber, titanium, transitions, tri-focals, etc). I pay about $500 for both pair. So for every two years, x 2 pair, that's about what, $125 each.....Bout' the only time I don't mind paying insurance premiums. I have contemplated getting the lasik surgery though. I hate glasses. I hate being gentle with glasses.

But I do find them to be superior to most others I have tried. I like the Costas, and Maui Jims, Ray Bans, but I always go back to my Oakleys. Oh, and non polarized sunglasses are like wearing flip flops in 3 feet of snow. What's the point?

Hey Thanks! Never looked into it but I like hearing all the quirks about something before I do it. All I know is, I hate wearing glasses because I sweat so much, am super clumsy and my body temp is so high all the time that even in the summer they fog up. In the winter, fugetaboudit! I'm a hot mess. And no, not in that sexy way that makes the ladies say "How you doin?".

I feel ya dog. My wife wears contacts and has dry eyes, and has to put that freaking gel eyeball moisturizer crap in her eyes sometimes at night to keep them from sealing shut in the morning. That's gross. I am sure as OCD as I am I could not stand the feeling of contacts. Plus according to my wife, trying to get them out when your three sheets to the wind is a bitch!

5 years and no second or third operation?! I hear some people need to have seconds....I should look into this for sure! I have Type 2 bordering on Type 1 Diabetes too so I wonder if that has any bearing on longevity of the outcome......

Nope. I've had no issues or operations besides the initial one. Having it done was one of the best decisions I made. I've been in a number of situations around the world and no problems at all. I enjoy having my collection of Oakley sunglasses; I don't leave home without them.
