Ill hit u up when I get up there and we can schedule a time. Quick question...which do u think is more beneficial for offroading sliders or skids? Cause I'm lookin to get one or the other for the trip.

I don't mean to be a dick. But I see that you are 16 with a provisional license. Have you ever been off road behind the wheel? I think you should get some experience behind the road wheel before you get that truck dirty.

Just looking out for you so you don't get grounded with NO tv!!

On road and off road are two completely different skill sets. As I've been learning with Steve and Homer mostly. Offroad it's about picking your line, taking your time, 4LO is a life saver in manual, and it's a truck not a boat. As for on the road mostly if you keep your truck between the lines, keep your speed in check with what it and YOU can handle, and since we are in MD brake for idiots, and you'll be good. Hardest part about driving IMO is the other drivers you never know hat they are gonna do.

Ride alongs are GREAT for learning and if you can schedule it right I recommend Homer for manual and Steve for auto. Both are good IMO.

As has been stated it depends on the trails. It also depends on your trucks set up. I was stock besides sliders for most of my off roading my front skid has more marks then my sliders but the sliders have been landed harder on at RC. Best bet is to have both :) [one day]. But if I have to choose one or the other ill go we sliders, everyone knocks the stock slid but as long as your not doing 100 into a rock it holds up pretty good. My first few times out I wasn't as light on the gas as I am now. But my skid has done alright.

During our vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC my car was broken into and all of my camera gear was stolen, totaling about 7500$

Now I am lost, I searched all of the local pawnshops while I was there. have been watching craigslist and Ebay like a hawk. Even paid the stupid 10$ to CameraTrace.com and they dont even list the images I have on the web.

So im thinking of maybe setting up some kind of Donation thing, or something to try and recoup some money so I can get some new gear before Oct, as I have Weddings booked!

    Moving to MD/Bumper/safety inspection question.

I found out last week that I'm being relocated from Oregon to Maryland for work. Right now I've got a allpro Apex front bumper on my 09 AC, with a 3" lift and 285/70 duratracs.

Im looking at 11.14.02.00 about the safety inspection requirements and I'm trying to figure out if im going to need to do some modification to get the truck registered. The main area of concern is the bumper... "They shall be the original equipment or equivalent and extend the full width of the vehicle."

Does anyone have any experience in what they consider equivalent or not equivalent? I haven't pulled a tape on the bumper to check the 28" rule, I know it covers the entire width of the truck but my concern is the wheel wells.

The truck was purchased with 3" lift already installed but I doubt they'll care who installed it... any pointers on that can of worms would be greatly appreciated.

Find a local shop that is not picky on state inspections.... I had a guy but he decided to move to SC, I would ask a few other guys on here if they know of anyone.

Where you moving to in Maryland? Most people know a local shop that can be easier to get things to pass inspection. It all depends on the shop and what kinda change you leave in the cup hold for the guy inspecting the vehicle.

My suggestion, don't move to MD :D, no seriously... if you can move to VA or PA or DE which ever is closest to the reason you want to move to MD. Lots of people are moving out of the state.
