Hi all, just picked my 09 trd sport up a couple months back. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent place to get a lift put on? I'm in AA county.

I’m not too far from you in silver spring/Bethesda and I’m always down to help members install lifts for free. I’ve helped out a few members in here.

    Randy,
This is so very cool of you! I've known you do this from your posts just like this one and just never said anything. Kudos man! It really is a great thing.

You talked to me a lot about lifts and tires in the beginning and I thought that alone was so nice. Your attitude and knowledge was informative and professional and never self centered. You proved you could talk the talk and walk the walk.

Just wanted to say that when the time comes I hope you can help me because I would rather have no one else. I know you're a OME guy too and that's the direction I'm leaning. Not any time soon but ultimately, Nitrocharger's all the way round, 8888s and a full Dakar leaf pack. Just want quality and to keep it simple.

My ultimate goal is to be trail worthy to go out to GR and hang with you guys.

    Again, Kudos.
    Rob

Well thanks rob! I really appreciate the kind words. Of course I’ll be more than happy to help when it comes time to install your lift on your bad ass inferno.
I’m so used to it now that the lift is such a luxury! I want one.

    Hey Joe,
    Quick questions.

You every thought about a removable hoop type step for your 20 degree sliders like NFab (I think it is) does? Something that can be retrofitted by drilling and tapping the existing bolted on sliders.

Also, if the sliders have that welded in, punched deck plate, does that mean they protrude enough to provide a step surface?

I saw a pair used near me for sale on here and I'm interested but if/when I lift the truck (2.5" - 3" max) I will definitely need steps for the wife, and likely me too. I'm already contemplating trading the OEM tubes for OEM Predators but a real slider with removable steps would be the shit.

Just curious and I'm not making any moves anytime soon.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Rob,

A couple people have asked bht instead had the sliders built flat, parallel to the ground and yes the fill plates work well as a step.

    Joe,
Yea, I'm pretty sure these are 20 degree. The seller said not so good as steps or side protection from shopping carts or car doors. I park in a garage at work, and people up here are lazy at grocery stores with their carts.

Guess they can be cut and re-welded, then repainted.

    Thanks.
    Rob

I wonder if he has the gen 1. They were tighter to the truck. A while back we moved them off the truck more so even at 20 degrees, they function as a step.

Anyone know who currently has my ECGS removal tool? Just wanna make sure I get it back sometime. I believe @EatSleepTacos shipped it to @Gaunt596
From there I can't remember who else was supposed to get it.
