Yep the uniball sheared off. He paid $299 for the eBay ones called Protune Suspension because he didn't want to take my advice and buy the JBA's for $459. So now he spent $760 for uca's and of course more labor.

Any suggestions for a good collision center/body shop?
I'm going to Russel Collision Center first and then I'll head over to Auto Collision Specialists in Reisterstown for a second opinion.

I got rear ended by an older silverado on 695 a week ago, damaged the frame where the rear bumper is mounted. It also looks like the bed mounting points were damaged, the whole bed is misaligned to the cab.
I was looking at the gap between the cab and bed and the passenger side gap is like 1/2in closer than the drivers side. The bed is flush to the driver's side door, and inset by 1/2in to the passenger's side door.
To me this suggests some more frame damage a little further up underneath the bed. Any thoughts?

Bed to Cab gap, big difference.

If it has frame damage I would demand a new frame.

Yeah I'd love a new frame, would be the safest option. It'll be a game between the shop, state farm, and myself.
I showed the truck to my buddy who is a Toyota service DM, he said the dealerships will probably try to fix it... but we'll see.

Doing a oil change on my Tacoma on my lunch break today. And hand wiping my frame lol. Still looks new under this truck, not bad for a 14yo 4x4.

So for you CB fellas, I have a question. I want to install/get a cb for the truck. I came into a uniden Pro 520 XL and a fire stick antenna. Is that good enough? Is it just junk? Any recommendations? I saw the handheld ones, is that the better way to go?

CBs are cool! If I were doing it I would want one of those hand held all in the mic deals. That way less intrusive, and can easily hide it. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I have the uniden 520xl in my 4runner with a firestik antenna. I like it. It works just fine for the trails and stuff. If you want less intrusive or more portable, then the handhelds are a good option.

I wanted something to leave in place and mount to the side of my center console. If you're coming saturday, you can check it out and see if you like it.
