Had the clutch, flywheel, and throw out bearing replaced about a year and a half ago and the clutch failed Monday. From the time I had it installed I have always felt something wasn’t quite right and had mild chattering when the truck was cold, like something wasn’t torqued properly. Feeling that resulted in the clutch having a major failure, but won’t know until it is torn apart. My mechanic who installed the clutch informed he will not be able to get to it for a week or so and Looking for someone close by that really knows the ins and outs of our tacos. I used an AISN clutch, Sachs flywheel and a URD sleeve & bearing kit which were all quality parts and never experienced a failure like this in all the years of owing a manual trans. It is as if the clutch springs snapped or something because the truck was jerking extremely hard when engaging first and reverse. At this point I just want to confirm there is no transmission damage due to the flywheel not being properly tightened or etc. I know shit happens but this has me concerned that something wasn’t squared away properly and want to know sooner than later. So I appreciate the feedback.

Currently live on the Eastern Shore, south of Ocean City. Haven't done much off-roading, four wheeling since moving east from NM many years ago. Now that the kids are older, looking to get back into a long lost hobby!

Nice. I was down in Socorro. I have friends in Albuquerque, Silver City, and Roswell, so I spent a lot of weekends there.

Went to my local Home Depot to buy a 12ft long piece of 4x6 lumber this evening. A employee asked me if I could use a 12ft long piece of 6x6 instead, I said yea. He said today is your lucky day because I have 2 pieces that you can have for free. Can't beat that!

Mean while Rob is getting up close and personal with his entire front suspension/steering system and getting a lovely down-pipe tan on his lower extremities.
