Hmmm decisions decisions...ordered a set of grabber atx tires to replace my at2s (with 55k on them) but they still have a good amount of tread left. Debating sticking my new tires in the garage and running these longer. Besides highway vibes from balancing/cupping they still feel good on the road.

 

Id save your money. only get new tires if you really need them (flat, no tread, changing rim size/lifting) because the AT2s will last you a hell of a lot longer than 55k. if it aint broke dont fix it type of mentality. just my .02

 

They definitely seem to last forever with the amount of highway miles I've put on them. I've been having a tough time getting them to stay balanced over the past year so I'd been debating replacing them. Got a $75 off promo for memorial day so I went ahead and bought the set of the newer model (atx). With the at2s being my first set of tires on this truck since I've had it I wasn't sure what to expect for tire-life expectancy.

 

They both get the same mpg..... when towing the boat

I've been seeing 16-17 around town. My Tacoma was getting 18-19.

 

They should just call this the rainy state. 7 days straight of rain not too long ago and now looks like pretty much all of this week except today is going to rain. I miss west coast weather...

Yep, suppose to rain the rest of the week into the weekend. I don't care if it rains during the week but I love being outdoors on my weekends. All these rainy weekends suck!

 

Unfortunately decades of construction upstream has forced all of the rain to funnel through Ellicott City. So much land has been developed and the rain has FAR less ground to soak into. Not to mention other, smaller run-off pathways that no longer exist.
In 2016 they said it was a fluke 100 years storm that devastated Ellicott City and now 2 years later another fluke 100 years storm.

 

Yes, good decision. Towing a boat beats pushing a boat hands down.

The soil in this state (or at least where i am) is like a very hard clay. Walking on my lawn feels like walking on concrete. I'm not sure the soil makeup here can absorb water/rain all that well. Seems like every time it rains a lot of the water just sits ON TOP of my lawn.

 

Gonna wait to see what the weather looks like towards the end of the week. No fun standing in mud shooting in the rain.

 

Yes I see that quite a bit but natural grasslands, meadows, and wooded areas all soak up rain like a sponge. Farms too.
Housing developments, shopping centers, malls and roads.....not so much. The hell of it is, what can we do? We need housing and all of the support infrustructure.
