Those are great! The flip kit with the wheelers super bumps is also a great kit. Not a necessity by any means, but it cleans up the back end a bit.

So the stock bump stops are adequate? Why do guys need these or something else then (asking for a lesson, not being a smart ass)?

 

Yes the stock are adequate. When you do a I bolt flip, it’s one less thing on the bottom of the axle to bang into a rock! If you wanted to upgrade your bump stops, you don’t have to pair it with a u bolt flip.

That’s correct. Unless you just weld the factory bumps to them

Ok, next question. The Leafs. What are the advantages/disadvantages between the Deaver Single AAL and the HS Progressive 3 Leaf beside $85 more for the HS?

Single AAL are one arched leaf that provides lift from it being extra arched. The benefit is it’s cheaper and provides a little increase in payload. Downside is it makes the back end a little firmer.

Three leaf progressive provides lift from the actual thickness of the leaves themselves. It keeps the same spring rate as what’s already back there. The benefit is that you retain the stock ride while gaining lift. Downside is there more expensive.

I prefer the single AAL personally.

So would the Progressive be less payload than OEM or is it just less than a single? Does the Single increase the payload capacity over the OEM capacity?

Sure, it would be great to be able to get more weight in the bed but I really never see myself going with anything more than maybe high clearance bumper with a swing out tire carrier, and Jerry cans in the back. Again, likely not going to happen in the next couple of years. If I need to haul a lot of weight I can register, and then use my trailer.

I guess I want to be sure "firm" is not harsh. Especially over potholes, bridge deck joints and rr tracks at higher speeds.

 

Progressive keeps oem capacity. It sounds like progressive is better suited for your needs.

No this did not include the top caps. My truck had less than 10k miles on it when I upgraded the suspension. So, everything was fairly new and not rusty.
