Tires are on and I couldn’t be happier. I picked it up and drive straight back to work (less than a 1/4 miles) so I don’t have e any extended driving impressions. For the short time I drove it I was impressed with how quite they are.

On a side note: I now have a set of stock tires with 6300 miles on them for sale.

I almost bought Falkens but Duratracs have treated me so good on all 3 of my lifted rigs i decided to stick with'em last week when i bought new tires. Plus my tire salesman gives me good prices on'em.

So is there any tire noise with the mt’sand road manners ,Ive been toying with the idea of getting a 2nd set of tires for wheeling only

If you’re getting a set of tires for wheeling only, I’d get the cheapest (decent) gnarliest tires I could get. Then just beat the shit outta them.

Well they also need to handle well on the road to get there and back but yeah if I do it I won’t be spending a fortune on them

Just crawl along at 55mph on the way to wheeling lol

I wouldn’t run these as an every day tire because they’re retreads, but as a wheeling tire it’s be great.

P.S. I’ve read a whole lot of positive things about treadwright tires and no negative things. I just don’t feel comfortable running retreads because I’m crazy.

Did you trade in your truck? Did they just offer you about half of what was worth it?

Nah I had a 15 access cab. Paid 31 for it, they gave me 25.5 which is just over what I owed.

How long do they usually last you Dave? Reason I ask is mine on the 4Runner only lasted 30k miles. No wheeling with them either. They were my second set. Up till then I thought they were the next best since sliced bread. They were the OEM size if memory serves, and the C load range. I wish I had the pics before I traded the 4R. Every other outside tread block on each of the 4 tires, inside and outside was wearing more than the others. It was the strangest shit. They kept getting louder and louder. Then traction became iffy. Ultimately I couldn't trust them.

I've been liking the Ridge Grapplers a lot. Another guy commented on my post showing my tread amount. He thought it seemed like a lot more compared to his. He asked if I wheeled. LOL

I saw some links in his sig to his YouTube videos. I checked them out. In one he's doing donuts in a field of scrub. Nothing I would be ashamed of doing myself. But still. In another he is climbing up a man made concrete obstacle. It looked difficult and there was definitely some wheel spin. Most of the other vids were dry gulch and logging road trail stuff.

Point I'm making and why I'm asking you about your experiences with the Duratracs is, I know you wheel them. I'm just curious how they hold up to some serious abuse. I really would like to think I just got a bad batch. I had them on my Tundra too and I liked them there as well.

They were killer in the snow. They definitely have more sipes than the RGs. Again, no issues with the RGs, just I feel like the DTs had a slight edge.

These are about as loud as my coopers were when they wore down to about 75%

So far the road manners are fine. For $250-300 less than the coopers, i’m pleased so far.
