The Cooper maxx are like an awesome hybrid between an AT and an MT. Seriously the best all around tire IMO for someone who wheels but wants awesome on road manners.

I’m sure of it. The mtp are a little more aggressive based on the few pics I’ve seen of yours. Below 10mph they vibrate the truck because the lugs are so aggressive and offset.

I know you all like them a lot. Apparently they do well in the snow too. I would consider them a contender next time but I'd have to do my homework. I still think the best setup would be a wheeling/winter set and a summer/street set.

No, I meant were your Coopers Mud Terrain or were they All Terrain? Just wanted a baseline since you compared them.

Plus mine are 1/64” more tread than yours which makes all the difference :p yours are 19/32” and mine are 19.5/32”

I can fit two fingers side by side in between the side lugs. Causes the noise and vibration at slow speeds

I was describing my Duratracs at 30k miles wearing oddly and they also did this at a crawl. You could feel the 4R rocking back and forth.

Yea, while the inner lugs are normal spaced, the outer lugs are quite far apart.

Really helps off road. These things tear it up. Very happy with them. If this was my daily driver though I’d have gone with the maxx.

Sorry, missed it. I just store all this shit in my brain pan for future reference.

I put a lot of credit in tires. I need something to get me and the wife home safe the 44 miles from the city to the country. So many times I see vehicles not make it.

My brother drives a lot more than me, he works for BGE in Crofton & lives in Bel Air. He's on his 2nd set, first set he got 50k out of'em and they still had some tread (i'm using them for spares now) but he said they got noisy. These duratracs that i removed last week were on my lifted 4runner since 2013 with 40k on them and they are still usable. Only reason i bought new is because i got that deal on the new wheels.

Cool thanks Dave. Tires and what's best is hard to determine. I wish I could afford to test the top 3 or 4 by myself, on my truck, in the exact same conditions. As soon as any of those factors change the results are skewed.

This is my tread at 15k miles, rotating them every 5k miles. Naturally, as of yet, no off road use. But I can say, I do drive the truck like I stole it.

Let me know who's interested in coming the weekend of September 15th. If you wanna come Friday evening and stay the whole weekend or Saturday just for the day or Saturday and stay the night, whatever fits your schedule is fine with me. I have 4 extra beds on the main floor and a air mattress set up in the loft. Or if you prefer camping on the property is a option, I have outside outlets if power is needed for people camping just bring a extension cord. If you have a gun or guns and wanna shoot bring'em. If you have a atv/dirtbike and wanna ride bring it. If that weekend ends up to be a total washout I'll have to cancel, but if it's just a chance of a passing shower it's still on. Let me know who's interested in coming so we can get a headcount.
