Still cambered a pinch. Hopping the settling will fix it. I think it was at .03 out.

Got the springs as close as I could to the can. It's hard to color match powder coating.

    OME 885's.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Unless it is putting cut off cans on things as shown above in thread.

    I second this.

I also want to know if 885coils and 5100s can be used to only level a truck.

I also want to know what is the purpose for U bolt flip kits and if it adds any lift.

Keep in mind i know nothing about this, just want to learn

I'm in Columbia, about to move to Arundel Mills. Trying to offload some stuff to make the move a little easier.
If anyone has a ford I also have a few quarts of Mercon V for free!

Also, anyone looking to off-road have you seen or heard of this:
    http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/orv.asp

They are looking for volunteers to help open up some new places to wheel. I would but I don't have the time right now.
I also heard the Pine Barrens in south Jersey is a good place to go.

    Got some questions about wheels.

Anyone here have any experience with tread wright tires? I really want some 265/70/17s and can't find anything local used. I can't justify spending $700-800 for new tires since the ones I have are still in good condition with only 10.5k miles on them.

Also, I've heard that a lot of shops won't install tires larger than factory sizes and that tread wrights are especially hard to balance. Is there any truth to this? Any good shops in central MD that I could use? I'm in Montgomery county but could obviously drive to Frederick, Howard, Carroll, Baltimore, etc.

I'm trying to get tired and have them balanced and aligned for less than like $600.. Doesn't look like that will ever happen though. :(

I've never heard of shops not installing what ever you were willing to pay for....but i guess they would do it so people didn't complain when their speedometer is off and they didn't buy a calibrator for it.

The u-bolt flip does not add any lift. The purpose is to turn the bolts up so you dont get hung up on obstacles, and also to preserve the threads. I have it and would get them again. Only problem is you have to find another way to attach the bumpstops...I used zip ties.

Also, the 5100's are great. When I got them I immediately noticed a difference from the sport shocks. The truck leaned and pitched more, but I could carry a lot more speed down bad roads without the rear end hopping around and my kidneys getting beat up.

So do the 5100s add softness to the front and absorb more in that regard?

    Thank you for helping

Hmm. Thanks for the info. So the kedge grip decreases tire life? I would have thought that it helped with wear. I've been looking into the Wardens and they seem to have pretty good reviews. I'm just still a little weary about retreads for some reason. Haha

Also what's this BB trick that you mentioned?

huh, well you learn something new every day! haha thats a pretty cool little trick.

You all should help me fund some new tires! :) haha

I've got a ton of stuff for sale. Guitars/related items, 12" Kenwood subs, PS2/tons of games/controller/memory card, and a Stereo Cabinet. Take a look and let me know if you're interested in anything. I wouldn't be opposed to driving some to meet up if you would like anything.

I personally stay away from the retreads...

    A 255/85 is a skinny 33

You still need to trim a bit for them but not as much as for a 285/75

Either way once you start changing sizes you open up a can of worms.
