Actually, my limit is Ga. I saw one there for sale and I should have bought it then. I will let you kick me in the ass later.

 

I offered the guy my tonneau + $700. He is selling the cap for $1400. So, that is $700 for my tonneau which I bought 1.5 years ago for $820. I got a quote from a Leer dealer for the same cap equipped with all of the same options. New it is $1900. Seems like a good deal if I just plastidip it black. It's an okay deal if I have to pay to get it color matched. But, at least my tonneau will be gone with little effort.

 

I like this cap much better than the double decker one.

I sold my Harley on CL like that quickly and got what I wanted. I will list mine on CL, among other sites.

By the way, the best price quote I've gotten so far has been from a place in Pa. ARE MX w/ tax & installed, and these options: headliner carpet, windoors w/vents & screens on both sides, front removable slider, Thule roof rails = $2,400.

So hell yea, I would take your deal and go for a shop paint job any day of the week!

Yea, I do too but for me it's all about the utility. More room is more room. And I know windoors are a huge plus but I have to wonder on such a short bed how big a deal it is to use my reacher pole. I mean, I have the tonneau and rarely roll it up to get at something in the bed. When I had my Tundra and put a cap on it, that 8' bed was never really a pain.

I think I am gonna get some quotes for a cab high version and see if thee is that much price difference. There are some really good looking cab high caps coming out soon, with curved rear doors and frameless windows that match the lines of the truck.........just not sure if I want looks or function.

I fell like the Leer 180 is not as high as the ARE MX and the added height is the full length of the cap whereas the ARE MX is more turtle shell looking because the bump in height occurs farther aft.

 

Let me know what help you need. That's what I do.
