I had a hard shell and just switched to a softopper. Get the best of both worlds! Only downside is you can’t haul long things up top like on a hard shell, but other than that I think it’s a winner.

I have a softopper that's been sitting for years. I gave it to my uncle but he never came and got it.

Thinking about going over by your neighborhood next week to look at a Tacoma if it’s still available for my son

Did a solo camp trip last Thursday to green ridge, I stayed down off Carrol road with 0 service and something 100% growled at me from the woods while I was on a walk. Little pucker factor took effect for a minute. Lol.

Yeah there’s a ORV trail? I think they’ve all been closed for awhile. There’s a few “4x4 only” roads though that are a little fun.

The “Stafford trail” road is really cool. Runs along the top ridge of a mountain and has awesome over looks as well as some cool abandoned buildings. You can get too it from 15 mile creek road or from the back of group site 7. The gate is occasionally open to get up there but it’s been closed lately. :(

So there are still places to go? If so how hard are they?

If you have 4x4, you’re fine.

ATs and 4x4 are even better.

I just drove a hour and a half to a emergency vet in VA because my dog ran in front of my SxS and the r/f wheel ran her over. I'm praying there's no internal injuries.

Bonds Landing has good fishing on the potomac. You can camp and fish right there on the river.
