Spent all afternoon testing out the winter tires for the 1st time. Im pretty impressed.
It wasnt that bad out, only passed 5 or 6 cars in a ditch. And the roads are mostly clear by now.

We've got about 4 Inches here. Northern Montgomery County about 7 miles from the 4 corners of Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, and Howard. Enough that I had to shovel. I live on a decent sized hill and watch about 5 people get stuck going up the hill and one going down sideways. I hadn't cleared off the taco and scraped the ice off yet at that point otherwise I would have gone and pulled them up the hill.

Question for anyone who has towed someone out in the snow.. Do you tell the other person to keep it in gear and give it a little gas, or tell them to throw it in neutral and let you do all the work? I've never towed another car before so I'm just curious.

If you are helping a front wheel drive car out of a stuck situation, you want them to only use a little of low gear throttle input...if they get to spinning violently, they can burn up their transmission or even the motor.

Helping to "unstuck" Anyone that is rwd, have them put stuff in the vehicle over the rear axel for weight and added traction then have them give a some good low gear help as you pull them out.

And anyone in awd or 4x4 just have them have it in low gear (and 4Low if they have it) and have them crawl out as you pull them....

you should be in 4L for any of these. Mainly because violent throttle and spinning will get you both to slide down in the ditch or what have you. Everything should be gentle and deliberate. I don't have a whol bunch if experience but i've helped my uncle get unstuck twice :D

Anything that sounds wrong or not right, feel free to chime in, i won't be offended. Any info helps.

I've heard that before, that is why i think the person being assisted needs to be told to only lend gentle throttle input....and you may even have to stop and yell at them if they get to spinning while you are pulling them out.

I struggled with the same in middle school and high school. What helped me was setting 2-4 different alarms starting from 15minutes before you want to get up to 5-10minutes after you have to get up. Once you are getting up regularly, you'll start going to bed at an adequate time to get a decent amount of sleep. You also need turn off TVs and computers shortly before you want to go to bed, and try sleeping to music. I've been sleeping to music for probably 6-8 years and now i can sleep with or with out it though i usually prefer to listen to music or a podcast to sleep. If you don't like music, bundle your self up, turn off all the lights and stare into the darkness and think until you fall asleep...whatever works.
