A good bit. I didn't need to replace mine until 170k. This is assuming the previous owner never changed them, which is a safe assumption because they never changed the spark plugs.

So I have been searching for a newer truck for a while now, looking at a frontier and a tacoma, tacomas seemed lost because they were all far to expesive. Saturday I was about to buy a 2010 frontier when I saw a red 2008 tacoma TRD Off Road for 12k. 136,000 miles and 1 owner. Its a manual access cab, wanted a double cab but cant complain. Still a proud yota owner!!

Glad you stuck with Toyota. The Nissans are a very different truck. From personal experience there's no comparing a T4R to a Xterra or a Tundra to a Titan. Just feel like they're on a different quality level

IDK but i'm pretty sure mine is shitting the bed. I'm only at 76,000 miles but didn't notice it until installing my lift and 33's. Can't help but to think that caused some extra wear on them. I get a really annoying humming that I can kinda hear and feel under my feet between like 40 and 60. Thought it was needle bearing but we just installed the ECGS bushing and that didn't fix it.

My ranger had bad wheel bearings when I bought it. They were destroyed. I thought it was the old, hard, dryrotted KO's on it, but I got new tires and it was still so loud. Two new front wheel bearings and it was good as new. If the noise changes or goes away around turns it is almost certainly wheel bearings in my experience.

Probably better to do sooner than later. My totaled 06 Dakota I changed with around 130k and they were damn near welded in. It was a beetch!:annoyed:

Yeah, I'm gonna do it soon. Theres a guy here on the forums who sells the whole hub assembly with the wheel bearings pressed in for a very reasonable price. Think that's the route that I'll go

Come to think of it I also used the whole hub assembly. It was still a muther getting the old ones out. I borrowed my brother in laws slide puller and after what seemed like hours of wham wham wham I finally got the drivers side off. Passengers side wasn’t as bad. The Godfather might know a better way. Hopefully you will have an easier experience :)
