I mounted a peice of a old mudflap on the front fender to protect my engine (its ugly but it's better than nothing) and a pre-filter sock over my freshly cleaned & oiled k&n air filter. Just have to renew the registration then I'll be ready for the ride up the mountain Saturday morning.

How long are you staying for. I just realized the three day weekend is this weekend. If you're gonna be there for Sunday I think I may be able to bring the ATV or bike up.

I plan to ride my bike up Saturday morning & stay the night. But I just saw on the morning news that off & on rain is predicted for Saturday so I'll be watching the forecast all week. If the weather is dry sunday I'll be out exploring the back roads on my bike then head home.

I tell you a day doesn't go by that I'm not grateful to have dogs in my home. Last night after the wife & I went to bed I just started to doze off to be awakin by my 16yo dog Debo. Even considering he was in the dining room and I was in my bedroom asleep with the door shut & a box fan on I heard his loud whining. I Immediately knew something was wrong. As soon as I opened the bedroom door I smelled smoke. It was my dishwasher, it was smoking from the electrical control panel. I Immediately ran to the basement and hit the breaker for it. My dog alerted us before the smoke alarms did. Even with the windows opened all night my house still has that awful electrical fire odor but I'm glad because it could've been alot worse.

That's why dogs are the absolute best. They know, I don't get how, but they just know when somethings wrong. Glad everything and everyone are OK.
