    Fucking insane down there. I saw in one instance that 2 perps just got out of a car and started shooting into a crowd outside of a hookah bar. One of them had a rifle. WTF!!!!!!

    It really disturbs me that we both work down there. We'd move in a heartbeat if we could get equally paying jobs anywhere else.

    Yep. I used to work at the Dept. of the Environment down at the old Montgomery Park / Ward building. Witnessed 3 fights and a stabbing at the Royal Farms across the street, just in the 5 minutes I was there daily getting my morning coffee. Also guy got stabbed and robbed of his golf clubs playing the course next door, literally the day before I was going to play. I only worked there 6 months before I took a private job at an engineering firm in Harford. Much better. Also a lot more interesting work.

    We both grew up down there so we experienced the decline long before we moved to Harford County 17 years ago.

    Back then it was mostly poverty driven crimes. Larceny, robbery, B&E, etc. Obviously drugs were prominent too. However, murders or shootings were not very common.

    Things have changed quickly though. Now the tables have turned. Things are completely out of control though.

    It's very scary because now we're reminded every day how bad things are on the news and in person. Something seriously needs to be done to put an end to it.

    Imo (trying to not get political, because I know its against the rules) a lot of the problem comes from the politicians that won't let the police do their job...Then the result is the officers leave and go elsewhere. Not trying to hate, but this was our police commissioner in Baltimore for a while this year. He literally got robbed himself...
