How do you like that stuff? I've been looking at those ceramic wax spray products. On my truck I've used 303 and some spray detailers, but realized it's never seen wax since I've had it. The 303 works great on the boat because it isn't slippery, but not my favorite on the paint. It does do a great job at restoring black vinyl parts like bumpers and trim. I typically stick to sprays because I'm not confident with a buffer. I just did the boat with a buffer for the first time in ages this year. I usually do it by hand.

Its easy to use but I don’t have anything really to compare it to.. I’ve never really taken care of any vehicles I’ve owned. Makes the black end up looking good and works on the fenders and windows as well. I think it is just supposed to help in between waxes. I can definitely tell it’s working as before the spray my hand won’t slide on it while it will after I spray.

Figure I'll chime in on this one (hey look another PA guy infiltrating the MD thread:D). I decided to try Meguiar's version, Hybrid Ceramic on my truck. I made sure the paint was clean and decontaminated (iron remover product). Sprayed on according to instructions and I'll say I'm happy with the results. It sheds water like crazy and makes it super easy to wash afterwards. As far as longevity, that is yet to be seen. Do not know what salt and pre-treatment will do to it. I drive into Maryland for work and they use some seriously tough stuff during the winter!

I know you aren't keen on using a buffer, but a DA style makes sealant application super easy and safe. Something like Collinite 845 holds up great to the winter elements and car wash pre-treatments. I honestly doubt the ceramic sprays would hold up as well.

I'm not sitting around and neither is my truck. I took a ride to Morgantown WV yesterday to look at a chevelle that a buddy might be selling me. Then I hit some trails on the way back.

Thanks fellas. I need to do something better on my truck. Just doesn't bead up and shine like I want it. It probably needs a good polish.

Just over the Md line in WV near Green Ridge. That pic is actually a road that I take up the mountain to my cabin.
