Welcome to the best damn Tacoma forum on the interwebs and the Kool Kidz thread Joe. :hattip:

I don't have anything to compare my 3rd Gen to except the first one I had, a 2016 4Runner Trail and a 2012 Tundra SR5 but I wouldn't have any other brand truck. If I could change one thing it would be the auto for a manual but it's not a deal breaker by any means.

You shouldn't have any issues putting a car seat in any newer Tacoma with the mandated tethers.

This is a definitely maybe.... I like it but I'm thinking of going back to a toyota in the future. I need something thats going to take a abuse and mileage from work and still be worth something when i go to trade it. I figure I'm going to average 30k a year in 4 years and 120k a toyota still has some value a silverado not so much.... Plus i only bought a double cab silverado and i need more rear door the car seat just slides in and i mean just fits through the door.

My buddy has a car seat in his 2017 double cab. It's kinda tight for the front passenger. Probably a no go behind the driver if you're taller than. 5'8"

Yea, I saw the join date but just feel like if we're not being hospitable then we're not upholding the legacy of the OP @ST3VE when he started the thread month before you joined.

I rock a car seat in mine for our 3 year old. Its not "Tight" I would say but shes in there snug. We still bang out 8 hour road trips no problem and she loves it the entire way. Also off roading with her in the tacoma puts her to sleep every single time. lol

This is good info. I feel like the back seat of my double cab 2nd gen had as much room of not more than my double cab Silverado I have now. The Silverado is just wider.
