Thanks everyone for the recommendations! Took the truck in last week to Radial Tire in Silver Spring. Mounted some SCS F5s.

Hoping to save up enough money for a Bilstein 6112/5160 lift.

Hey @RobP62 did you move your tire pressure sensors to the aftermarket wheels or you get new ones?

I thought for sure I could get what was already in the wheels to work. Jim tried and then I had another guy try. Neither were successful. I thought about going to the dealer to see if I could get them to get it to work.

    Que pasa mi amigo?

Well, here's the deal. My niece Taylor bought Andrew's Pro wheels with the Duratracs that have TPMS. Her 4Runner has TPMS. When I swap her wheels/tires for her I am going to remove the TPMS from her OEM setup and put thos in the Pro setup she bought, and take those out and put them into my setup. Then I'll just need to buy one for my spare.

Then I'll sell my 2nd Gen TPMS.

On top of all this, I have 4 new OEM TPMS for a 3rd Gen but for Steelies.

Some people say that the dealer can reprogram 2nd Gen TPMS for 3rd Gen trucks with Techstream but they charge quite a bit. I should call and find out.

I would be interested on what they say.

I have Techstream, but could not get 3rd gen TPMS to work with my 2nd gen. Had to purchase 2nd gen TPMS to work, even though both gen TPMS operate on the same 315MHz.

Maybe interested in your 2nd gen TPMS if and when they are available.

Do you have aftermarket wheels? On your new truck.
Do you have sensors? Do they work? Are they factory?

Yea, not sure what prevents them from being compatible other than the software in the truck, but even that confuses me. They're the same frequencies.

Ok, I'll keep you in mind unless that's what Tony has been beating around the bush about. :D I'm going to be selling the 4Runner wheels/tires for my Niece so......

    23011.jpg

My current wheels are OEM Alloy 2nd Gen TRD Baja wheels.

    https://puretacoma.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=876_877&products_id=2282

All 5 of them have OEM Toyota 2nd Gen TPMS sensors. So far I have not been able to get them to work in my 3rd Gen.

Take your Geritol and go take a nap old man. Your game shows will be on soon. You'll need your rest if you want to stay up 2 hours this time instead of 1 to watch them.

I needed a small power washer for cleaning the SxS, atv & trucks. The other day my brother texted me that he was cleaning out his garage and about to throw away 4 alloy wheels & tires that came off his 88 monte carlo SS and did I want'em. With my negotiating skills yesterday I was able to trade the wheels that I didn't need for this like new honda powered power washer that I do need. I even had the guy make the drive to my brother in Bel Air to pick up the wheels. Got what I needed with no out of pocket cost, I love trading.
