Me either man... just sucks ballz.

Yeah it all started last year.. its the wifes car, and we took it to Bayside Toyota in Prince Fredrick for the oil change and tire rotation, and not long after that going around hard turns, or hard braking. the oil light would flicker, then go off.. So i checked the oil and to my surprise there was none! so put some oil in it... took it back to them, they made me do a oil consumption test, and it passed (which now still didint know if was consuming oil?) so ok whatever...

Shes out on leave with the baby, and i took it to work to save money on fuel... and on the way home BOOOOM cruising @ about 70 it grenades on RT50.

Sounds to me like the dealership did not put oil back in the engine after draining it. I believe you may have a case against the dealership. I doubt there will be any support from the manufacture. You might need legal help.

That's what happened to my tacoma last summer! Took it in for an oil change, was on the way home, and it just seized up. But there was no way that it couldn't have been the dealer's fault so they claimed responsibility to their insurance.

Hopefully you can get it all figured out man!

and they wonder why people do their own oil changes and work on their rides instead of taking them to a dealership.

Yeah ago I had that happen to my 95 silverado where a shop said they did the oil and put a new battery in; i have a habit of checking everything, once I got home and checked lets just say there was barley to no oil in it and the battery was the old one. I made them come get my truck with a flat bed after I threatened them. Since then I have been doing my own stuff.

I do take my taco though to a dealership but I have a friend who is their top mechanic there; everyone knows not to touch it when it comes in but him.

I wonder how hard it would be to do a LS swap on it, convert it to RWD, and make a monsterTC?

FRS? Whats that? I think a TC with RWD and a smoking V8 would be better :)

Sorry to hear that man. the only dealership around here that i trust is Toyota of Southern Maryland. I bought my taco from there, my wifes Rav4 and I only take my Scion xb to them. No one else touches it. I told them that i have air ride on the car and they said, hey why dont you drive it in the bay and stay with the mechanic while he does his thing. They are the best around IMO.

Felt like getting smacking in a sunburn. And I am getting it removed because it's a tattoo I got when I was 18.... It's gay and stupid.
