I've had a harder time with new trucks getting the CV out, likely because everything is new and tight to include the C clip on the cv axle. On older trucks they basically fall out with a prybar. Good luck though, it sounds like you'll have no issues with it since you seem knowledgable turning a wrench.

Appreciate that, just a few years on aircraft and my 2ng gen when I had it. I remember that cv was a pain, I only replaced it and not the needle bushing. If my memory is right, it was cheaper to get a new cv axle from a local store than the boots after it tore open.
Looking forward to this one though.

 

I wonder if I will need to do that again if all I am going to do is swap the coils and a AAL in the rear?

You shouldn't but to do the AALs it helps to pull the cams and remove the AC compressor.

 

HEY! That's the same model I have but I had mine painted Inferno to match , truck. It works wonders controlling the squirrel population.

 

Well it looks like my work truck is down .99%sure I blew the spark plug right out the head damn fords which would be the second time this has happen to the truck 1st since I’ve owned it the other of course was covered under the extended warranty at 90,000 miles .. When it rains it pours 2 vehicles down .
