I recommend Tony as well. He’s a lot closer to Bobby and could handle the project no problem.

You're probably right; my biggest concern is making sure it stays straight and level the whole time. I suppose I could probably find a pair of metal bars to clamp or bolt to the trunk, to serve as guides.

I’ve never tried to make anything out of cut logs, so i couldnt tell you one way or another :anonymous:

You just want to make some benches? I’d imagine as big as that is, you could just make a bunch of thin cuts or adjust your spacing to try different sizes, and you’d end up with enough to make what you want haha

Pretty much - a couple benches, a pair of mantles, and whatever else I can use to put it to work without waste. I'll get creative and let you know how it turns out!

The long cuts are the hardest but you could always find somebody with a plainer to straighten them out haha

I have a Alaskan chainsaw mill that you can borrow. It's at my cabin in WV tho. I can bring it back to Baltimore next Sunday or if you feel like taking a ride I'll be up there next weekend if you wanna pick it up. I used it once to make this bench top out of a downed tree.

When I started looking for a cabin wife & I looked in Pa. But after learning that the property taxes were alot cheaper in WV we started looking there instead.
