Not one concern at all. The foam cannon is under 200psi, and the foam itself is a pretty neutral and safe cleaner so its a lot more gentle than you might think. Plus, I dont leave it on there for more than 5-10 minutes

I typically do the engine bay first when cleaning a a vehicle and I dont let it soak or stay wet for an extended period of time. Any vehicle with an open intake, gets the intake bagged in plastic very carefully

This is very cool Kevin seeing you and your Dad sharing the same interests like this. A true "Like Father, Like Son" example. I bet your Father is very proud of you.

Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. I didn't know you lived outside of the city there. Living in the country has to be great. You're right, even for me, I live in the country but there are not many dirt roads or places to go off road, so yes, I have to go looking for them.

Well, you can always kill two birds with one stone as they say. If you put taller tires that are the same width as the OEM you probably don't need fender flares and achieve a little lift the best way possible. I know nothing about the Hilux but I am sure you can go a little taller. A skinny tire in muddy terrain is better anyway.

Yea, if you don't keep anything in the bed then you don't need to make sure it stays in the bed.

I really like the design of the Hilux. I remember seeing them in Punta Cana and in Riviera Maya but none were as fancy as yours or your Fathers. Well done!! To both of you!

These would be a nice addition. However, I do not see an option for Hilux on his site.

I use the Tekonsha P3 but there are other option and one that looks OEM AF! Pretty much mine is plug-n-play. I didn't even hard mount it.

Most (9.99 outta 10) people mount them on the lower dash (by your knees) below the steering wheel. When I had my Tundra, I had it mounted there. I banged my knee on it getting in/out of the truck half the time. Hated it.

Some people mount them in the little cubby to the left of the steering wheel. I think that is a great way to utilize that unused space. Problem is with the P3 is that there is a load selector switch you need to have access to in emergency situations, and it's a good idea to have an unobstructed view of the display just so you can monitor it. It only takes a millisecond of taking your eyes off the road for something bad to happen. When you need a brake controller the most, it's usually going to be when you need to have your eyes on the road constantly.

Yea, you can go to the right, under the radio stack. Plenty of room, quick access, but again, now you're forced to look away. You'll also be limiting what you can use that space for.

Some people don't like the idea of having it mounted on a air bag panel either.

I went with a different approach that a lot of people may not approve of.

I bought an extra harness, spliced two together and using heavy duty plastic velcro, I mounted it on the top of the dash. Easy access, immediate visual, and with the velcro, I can disconnect the cable and remove it leaving just a 2.5" long strip of clear velcro, so criminals don't get any ideas.

It doesn't block my defroster vest here either.

It's not completely visible from the outside in the daylight because of glare.

Of course this was the install on my first Taco but I plan on mounting it in the same place on the Pro.

I just need to find a spot for the Xmas present from my adopted Tejas son Jaime @Justanotherhemi
