Edited response from the tech.

So the Zamoras shop here in Frederick had a tech say he can do it for $500 and be able to pull the fender core out and he said he would probably pull out the ripped frame tab-chasis mount. (Would prolly want that welded and prepped and such if they don't do it). I was still able to get the bolt out and I told him that, but if it's more straight I wouldn't complain.

So I am in search of:
-Driver side fender
-hood (probably with the hinges to be safe but my passenger side hinge is fine I believe)
-aftermarket bumper/headlight combo. If it has a grill also that would be an awesome bonus

For a 96 tacoma, black (don't know the color code, may be pearl black)


I want to get the hood and fender before I pick the truck up so i can bolt both on right there to check his work and see if I can live with it, and more importantly if the hood opens and closes alright.

I have not dropped it off yet or have plans to just yet but that's what I'm seeing as my best option for keeping the truck and not using insurance since the frame is technically messed up.

 

And then I called Stup's in Frederick and brought it down here and am getting an estimate to get it fixed here through insurance, he says the claims people don't come out anymore cause COVID and so he shouldn't have to total it for insurance to get it

 

Yes. I do have them, was going to use them and decided against it for now....

Put my old Bayou to work yesterday processing firewood. It's been a while since I have been able to get firewood for my Mom and she's running low. Only have a short time after work to process wood before it's too dark. Working around the woodpile is a good way to clear your mind.
