    Unfortunately, the Toyota X86 is not $250. It's double that. It's a limited edition watch and has a sapphire crystal and a titanium case/band. It has the X86 logo on the face. The other two are Atomic and reset themselves for DST. They all have backlighting and 32 country world time. I replaced the bands on the Promasters with SS sharks tooth bands. The bands alone were almost $100 each. All are waterproof to deeper than you can go.

    So, while looking at other things I need/want and see that the Wheelers Timbrem rear bump stops and u bolt flip kit is not too much more than the full windshield tint. I can probably get away with one or the other without feeling bad about spending money.
    Where do you all think you’ll be the better investment is? Right now, I’m kinda leaning towards the stops and flip kit...

    When I got the first serious (repairable) chip in my Lex windshield I immediately regretted having it tinted. When they told me the windshield would likely be around $1400 to replace, I forgot about the tint cost.

    I bought the flip kit and superbumps for the truck Eric, and will install them when I do the AAL leaf pack and front coils swap. :thumbsup:

    Anyone ever fabri-cobble their own skids? Coastal offroad has some good pics of their 4runner skids, and it seems like something I could make myself. Along those lines, wheres the best place to get smaller amounts of metal? I usually pickup the offcuts from Metal Supermarkets for a discounted price, but those are smaller than I would need for skid sizes. Thanks for any insight

    I have Coastal Offroad front, rear, and skids. Their prices really aren't too terribly bad considering it's all pre-cut and easy to assemble. Also 3/16in steel can be very pricey.

    Yeah they're not to terribly priced, but I also like the idea of designing and making my own skid for myself based on some features I like from a few different manufacturers. A skid plate isn't super involved, and I feel like I could probably make them with the tools that I have, and extrapolate a good learning experience. I banana-ed my stock skids at AOAA last weekend because I'm still stock height, and am looking for something to entertain myself with this weekend. For front bumper I'm looking at coastal weld together, since a bumper is a bit more involved, but that might be a bit further down the line.

    I just ordered that kit. If you sign up for the newsletter you get a 10% coupon as well. I looked at other bumpstops like durobumps but the Timbrens come with a lifetime warranty so that's why I went with them.
