Durobumps are great, but I had one fail on me and they kept refusing to warranty it... I ended up having to buy a replacement. Anyways, besides that I'm loving them in the front and rear.

 

Anyone on here want to go to AOAA or Rausch Creek tomorrow? My trail wingman got called into work, so I'm looking for someone else to tag along

I know...It's the westcott designs front lift kit. Only so much you can do with the Fox shocks on the trd pro's.

 

looking between the Superbump and Timbrens now. So far it seems like the timbrens are better for towing and stiffer while the superbumps are better for off road and daily driving. I don’t need my ride any stiffer lol.

Timbrens offers the SES and AES. The SES is more for towing and the AES is more for off roading. The link you posted was for the AES so you're good. Just make sure you dont get the SES. Also, the email you provide for the newsletter/discount code does not need to be the same as the account you're ordering from.

 

I have been watching that thread since it started in December of 2019 and its still not out yet. It's close but it's taking way too long.

 

Wanted to post it here before listing on other platforms. Installed new wheels and tires today. I have some 16 factory rims mounted with 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3. The rubber is only 9 months old with around 6k miles on them. Tires are in excellent shape with deep tread. PM me if you are interested.

 

ohh got a quote for metal supermarkets for $215 for 3'x6' of 3/16 plate. Still gotta think on it, but I could make the front rad/diff skid + transmission skid with that. Not sure if they have it in stock, still waiting to hear on that

Good to know. Any other difference between those and the superbumps? I have not found much. I see it’s like $50 or so cheaper for the superbumps.

Yea, that does sound like it’s taking too long. I guess spacers are the best option you have for now. Will you need to take the coils apart to get them in or do they slide between the top and the truck mount?

I haven't been able to find a big difference. That's why I used the warranty length as the main discriminator. Lifetime with Timbren's and several years for other brands.

Have you given any thought to the front bump stops? Not sure if that's worth it just yet.

And, yes I need to take the coils apart. Ugh... It shouldn't be impossible to do myself though.

 

Not a bad thought there about the warranty. I’ll look a little more before I make a decision.

I’ve not really considered front stops. Probably not a bad idea in the future though. I’m looking at the rears more since they also include the flip kit, not that I really need it.

 

The front's seem stupid simple to install so I don't feel a need to worry about it. Since I'll be putting in the add a leaf in the rear and everything will be disassembled it's more pressing to get the rear bump stop in.

I think its like $20 price difference? My total for the Timbrens was $194.

 

That’s not bad then. I had the u bolts off last weekend to put 3° shims in. I should have gotten the kit before then but it’s not bad taking that stuff apart. No need to lift or Jack for those.
