Morning guys! Looks like a bunch of you had a fun weekend. I worked on my truck trying to weld up the frame but tossed in the towel and decided to have a shop do it. Not my expertise. I swear this has been a great example of "when it rains, it pours". Ready to not have to work to the bone on this thing. Sometimes I wonder why I sold my new Lexus for this truck. I'm sure it will all be worth it once its put back together.

I was in the same boat as you when I bought my neglected Tacoma for $500. No rust issues to deal with, just wrenching & scrubbing the trashed interior. It all pays off in the end, I love this truck.

AOAA does have a tire fill station, but the line may be long on a popular day. If you meet a buddy while up there, you may be able to borrow as well.

 

Did some more hauling with el taco yesterday.
It's covered in gooey cicada shmeg. My window actually got stuck from it.

Got my suspension finished this weekend. Only took my 4 days and one order of 4 hard brake lines to get everything fresh

This is when I initially set it down after being on stands. Hopefully it will settle to the 3" all around soon, but in this pic, its a decent bit higher than that. It has settled a decent amount since I drove it back to annapolis and to work today, so I will retake measurments


New +2" extended brake lines for the longer shocks + all new prebent hard lines from Toyota from midway on the frame all the way to the rear calipers. They were pretty inexpensive and was a good "While I'm in there" job to have new hardlines.


Also had to get the parking garage flex spot too lol. definitely not all the way flexed out, but I didn't want to attempt anything too stupid right now

I hope that everyone had a good Summer Solstice today.. that's right- it was the longest "day" of the year today. Now we start losing about 1 minute/day ( sun setting earlier) until the winter solstice ( Dec 21st)

 

I'm looking forward to Fall & winter. Summer is nothing but humidity & thunderstorms. And bugs!
