    Good news and bad:

    The good - my radios work!

    The bad - the rechargeable batteries are shot, so much so that hitting the hi-power PTT after a full day charge kills it.

    Gooder news: the pair of batteries I have are the 650 mAh, but I can get a four pack of replacement, compatible 1000 mAh for about $15 on Amazon. Great joy!
