I just traded my 05 Tundra Limited in on a 21 SR5 long bed. I am looking for some skid plates. Nothing fancy. Im not a hard core off roader. Just a fisherman that ends up on fire roads and river access trails. Anyone have anything? Im in Harford County.

 

Mobtown is almost local. Drive to Delaware and save shipping.

Morning Good Folks,

Hoping to leverage the group's experience here. The dealership in Glen Burnie recently diagnosed my lady of having a bad rear differential carrier bearing. I do have some confidence in their assessment. However, I would prefer to not pay $3,376+ to begin to resolve it.

Any recommendations of other reputable locations or establishments for differential work? I am out of Gambrills with no aversion to traveling.

Carrier bearing on the driveshaft or the bearings to the actual ring and spider gear carrier of the differential? I'd think it would be hard to diagnose the differential carrier bearing without removing the third

A pre-assembled new stock replacement 3rd member from ECGS is about $700-800, which would get you all new gears, bearings and 5yr warranty on tires up to 35". Just need labor to install it, would definitely be well under the original quote

 

I did see that yesterday thanks. Question for you have you been to Flagg Pole before and do you know the trails? I have some concerns about going there. I am lifted about 2 1/2 to 3 inches with a front skid, transmission skid and transfer case skid. Where are my concerns Lie is I have no sliders.

 

I haven't been there before, but a few of the people I'm going with have been and said I should be fine with just a front skid. I've got less armor than you haha.

There are also apparently bypasses for the more difficult obstacles
