In November of 2018 I had a metal roof installed on my cabin. It took me a year to finally find a roofing contractor that was willing to come up the mountain and give me a estimate. After dealing with a bunch of no shows I found a guy that was recommended to me. He replaced some rotted wood, new flashing and the new roof itself. My cabin has a large addition on the back that you cant see in this pic, total cash price for everything was $12k. I absolutely love my metal roof.

Wise move, $7K wouldn't even cover the material costs for a house. The guy selling me the material charged $1/liner foot because the panels had scratches/minor dings. He told me that the stuff sells for $8/linear foot to his contractors whom in turn mark it up to their customers.

I got an installation guide, it was an eye opener to find out everything involved with doing metal roof. The green color looks great against color of your logs. I'd love to be able to see your place in person one day!

Thanks. If you ever feel like taking a drive come on up sometime. Just shoot me a pm and I'll respond with the address. I'm planning a TW cabin meet for this Fall, it's been too long since my last scheduled meet due to covid. I painted it this past Spring. Now I'm dealing with damn squirrels chewing on my porch floor.

Does anyone have any OE 2nd gen fender flares? I need a right rear for a long bed. I found out today that the stealership lied about the truck not having any body work- every damn flange on the flare where the clip should snap into was nothing more then a glob of auto body urethane adhesive. I guess it got hot enough in the sun that it let go and the flare was drooping off of the side of the bed.

'Evening fellers ! I got the fender flare situation under control ( for now). I bugged my buddy that owns a a body shop, I showed up with a fresh bag of the fender body clips. He let me use some of the panel adhesive that bonded/fused the broken tab back onto the flare, then we just snapped it back into place. It turned out ok, no worse than before it fell off. At least now there's the correct clips holding it to the sheet metal.

It's been "fun" with the classified ad for the cap- 2 different "members" with 0 posts and a day of active membership asking questions that are spelled out in the ad. Does it sound like potential spammers that need to be brought to managements attention?
