    A guy can hope. How does putting a 1st gen cap on a 2nd gen usually go? A lot of weather proofing?

    Not yet.. if it decides to be a pain in the ass it may be the right solution though

    Plugged the Meter in with the jumper cable it included, Measured on CH 1 with an SWR of 4, then went to CH 40 and it pegged the meter, tried adjusting the tuning screw and didn't get any change regardless of the position.

    Alright... i didnt have any idea as to the order of the washers as my mount came in a bag and all the pictures i saw had different orders to the washers.. and my SWR is too high! i dont want to push it too much.. i was kinda nervous keying it with channel 40 pegging my meter,,,,,

    hmm.... maybe the fact that my plastic washer is on the bottom could have something to do with it? looks like yours are all on top

    You might have to take off a little of the p.c.where the washers touch the mount cause if rg58u is like rg 58,rg 59and rg6 the sheilding in the cable is your ground and is grounded to the connector

    Your SWR isnt high if your meter isn't calibrated... did you flip the switch to put it in calibrate mode?

    Yea he had all the washers and insulator under the mount he should be good once he fixes them
