I’m curious…how long did you get out of that Bakflip before it started to separate like that?

I have the MX4 on my taco. I had an earlier model Bakflip on my last truck as well (Ram 1500). That one was still functioning like new after 7 years when I traded in the truck for my Taco but I didn’t drive that truck much because it was a POS and didn’t work right.

 

Hello guys. That was a hell of a rain storm, I hope that everyone made it through without issue. The new steel roof on the woodshed is NOISY in the rain! I had the Taco's frame inspected at the Hanover PA stealerhip yesterday, they report that the rust is minimal and they will cap the frame and spray the schmutz into the crevices next Thursday. I'm sure that the next owner will appreciate it.

 

I bought the X2 in October 2017. This all started just this year. It's my fault really. I did NOTHING to treat or preserve the vinyl. I have a full bottle of 303 Protectant at home and didn't use it.
I will definitely be treating my new Revolver X4S. Other than this the X2 was an awesome cover. I have a F1 or G2 (can't remember which) on my '04 Dakota. I've had that for 6 or 7 years and it still looks almost new.
I went with the revolver because it doesn't block the rear window and you can open it open the amount you want/need.

I think we are due for another MD Thread Meet. It’s been awhile.

 

I’m in.. How about a MD meet and or a trail ride camp get together ?

 

Now we have 2 STI's sitting here at my work. As you know the silver one has been here for years. The black one was towed in a few months ago. That lifted 02 4runner is still sitting here too, that's been here for a bit over a year now.

 

I’m trying to hold off any trails till I get my sliders.. hopefully in the next two weeks.

 

I still don’t have sliders and I’ve pretty much done all the greens at AOAA with out a problem and I have a long box.

 

I'm gonna plan another Fall TW cabin meet soon.

 

I’m sure I have to get the same thing done. First thing I noticed when I got the truck was water running out of a frame opening

 

Not sure if it's for sale, I never asked the customer about it. Undercarriage is clean.

 

For anyone curious about the new front Sumo spring bump stops.
Space at lowest point between stock stop and LCA about 1.5”, most about 2”.
My lift has me about 22.25” wheel center to fender.
After, about 1.25 to 1/8” on the inside portion of the bump stop. Depending if the truck is sitting level. If it’s parked on a hill facing down, the inside will touch slightly.
It feels like it definitely did dampen some of the speed bumps. I made the video and will post it later. I’m not going to post the before again but if you’re curious, the stock stop didn’t make contact that I could tell in the video. The Sumos have plenty of contact. My lift had already taken care of the nose dives and body roll. Overall, I think it was a good purchase!
