I’m happy (mostly) with the Ironman Foam Cell Pro set up I have. The only thing is the ride is a little stiff, but there is more than just the lift behind that. The aftermarket UCA and the E rated tires play a part as well. The spring rate on my kit is 827#. There is a huge price difference between the IM and Kings too. Still plenty of choices all around.

So I talked to a shop in Mt Airy about re powder coating all my armor. Quoted me about 900-1000. To burn off the old stuff, sand blast it, prime and top coating roughly 5mils thick. Does that sound on par with other shops you guys have had Powder coating done at?

 

This is for front bumper, full skids, and rock Sliders.

Still waiting on my CMC plates to ship from relentless. TE37x should be here on Friday and tires came in today.

 

I've done the bed liner I've done the lineX I've done the spray can, and I've done power coating. Powder coating has been my best protection so far and the first guy didn't even do it right 5 years ago... since I slack on pulling them off to repaint them yearly I'll go with recoating them. I try not to ride the rails any way I have them to protect the body incase I do slide on them.

 

Plus it's been 5 years it's time to freshen her up a bit to celebrate her being paid in full.

Question for Baltimore folks and Ravens fans....does traffic back up onto 95 for Ravens home games? Will be driving from CT to DC on Sunday and wasn't sure if I need to plan travel around the Ravens-Chiefs SNF game and if so how soon before kickoff does that start to become a problem?

 

Now that Mobtown is closed, is there anywhere else within half a days drive to buy skid plates from? I like the simplicity of going and picking them up versus paying shipping.

 

It can be an issue, just depends really. Usually if your going by after it starts you should be good to go. Can you take 695 all the way around?
