but, its a brace, not a stock and modifying it is probably not advisable....

Legally you can not modify a brace. Even taking off the velcro straps counts as modification. (Without the straps it no longer braces to your forearm)

ATF's longstanding and publicly known position is that a firearm does not evade classification under the NFA merely because the firearm is configured with a device marketed as a “stabilizing brace” or “arm brace.” [13] When a purported “stabilizing brace” and an attached weapon's objective design features indicate that the firearm is actually designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder, such weapon may fall within the scope of the NFA, requiring registration and payment of tax. Accordingly, ATF must evaluate on a case-by-case basis whether a particular firearm configured with a “stabilizing brace” bears the objective features of a firearm designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder and is thus subject to the NFA. The use of a purported “stabilizing brace” cannot be a tool to circumvent the NFA (or the GCA) and the prohibition on the unregistered possession of “short-barreled rifles.”

You CAN create an SBR in MD. I used the SilencerShop kiosk at Baltimore Pawn in Finksburg. Took a little over a year for approval. Just be careful you don't want to fuck with the ATF they'll label you a felon and than you'll really be up shits creek. I'm not telling you what to do of course. Just be careful advertising it.

I would have gone that route except I found a TW member selling headlights off a 15 with the clear bra. They look brand new! I'm gonna get it redone once I crack them open and install the lights. I'm also gonna paint it with 2k clear coat it might be over kill but I'm tired of plastic yellowing.

Anyone know about the most recent frame recall? I've got an appointment scheduled for Wednesday at Catonsville Toyota, but they said it'll only take a day and they don't cover a rental. Just seems to me that even for a respray that's awful quick. For reference my truck is a 2013

How does that white wax hold up, I'm hoping mine doesn't pass bc the truck is from Vermont and a new frame would be nice.
