Anyone have some TSB Leaf Springs for a 2nd Gen? Or know of someone that does that wants to sell them? Or is anyone getting ready for a lift and about to take their stock leafs out? My truck is in need of new or newish (low mileage) rear leafs, the current packs are very neutral.

I have been watching the forums for the last 3 months and havent been able to find anything that was a good deal or that wasnt sold by the time I found it... I called a local place to do a "refurb" and they wanted $750... If you know of someplace to get a refurb that would be helpful too. I did some serious google searching and only found a few places, and sent them all requests for quotes.

    Thanks

Hey guys, my name is Mike. I'm from around the Jacksonville, MD area. I'm new to this site and I'm just getting used to it. Where do y'all wheel? Are the trails difficult? I usually don't off road, but shit, when I do, I love it.

Welcome from Odenton. Well you should meet up with us on Sunday. From what Steve said the trails are stock friendly.

I'm pretty sure my brother got some leaves for his jeep at this place http://rsleafspring.com/ in Bladensberg, MD, right outside of DC. You might call them.

    Welcome Man!

Yeah. They can be real hard if you want them to be. But I really didn't want to break anything so I went easy.

Not that I condone the purchase of less-than-adequate vehicles, but can non-Yota/Tacoma vehicles join in as well?

Where do we wheel? Is it legal? Privately-owned property?

    Welcome from White Hall.

I've wheeled my Jeep pretty hard at Paragon and out in Gore, WV....my Tacoma is two weeks old and I am more cautious than I've ever been with a vehicle.

With my Jeeps its always been something I can fix with either a grinder or some black rattle can.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of shit from the guys for putting this out....

I'll be the fall guy for everybody else that fears getting it dirty or possibly bending or breaking something....at least for a while....

I can tell you that when you decide to run a trail, they're is nothing better than airing down, putting it in 4 Low, trusting the capability of your vehicle and that guidance of your spotter. This being said, you Need to be prepared for the moment when something breaks.

If you can't overcome the fear of breaking something, you shouldn't take it off the pavement.

If I make it out I will definitely be babying my Taco...first time really wheeling and a manual make force me to be a slow learner so I don't burn up the clutch or hit something from dropping it too quickly...

I'm fine with breaking suspension parts, I am not cool with body damage on a truck I am making payments on for 5 years...

Dont feel bad man. When I play in the mud. my truck wears a skirt. I love my truck as much as I love my girl. I would never risk banging him up too much on the trails.
