I don’t mind as I can telework now but when I worked on the state police medivacs, I hated it since I was an essential employee and had to come in, we didn’t close when I’m state of emergency or anything.

One of the things i enjoy most - driving around in it. I like being able to function when things get soup-sandwich around me. We just got a mission when the EOC activates, but because I live 3 miles from work, 2 miles from the EOC, I wouldn't mind coming in if we had to do emergency stuff due to weather or what-have-ya.

I put new tires on the truck, so it won't snow much at all now!

I don't have to drive up and over that mountain anymore, so it won't be as bad when it snows. There's been a couple storms I got to work and everyone on the other shift was like "WTF you doing here?"

I'm with ya on that. :fistbump:

If you plan weekend out in Garrett County, I dont think you'll be disappointed. They get way more snow than the rest of the state. I think it already snowed there this weekend.

Lol, maybe if it was not having to drive around here… people have a tough time driving in good weather

I've seen that! Do folks here buy winter tires, or do they fall back on the fallacy of "Well, my 'car' (as opposed to the tires) goes 'just fine!' in snow!"

    Winter tires??

No, you will see the same fools in the F&F shitboxes out in the ice and snow, SUV's on highway treads and Suby, BMW and Mercedes drivers in their AWD cars on all seasons driving as if they are on 80° asphalt, causing accidents, diesel bros with their low profile steam roller tires spinning out everywhere. This is all said with a dash of sarcasm, but you're in for a real treat when the white stuff hits the roads.

In my old town I lived in up and over the mountain I'd see a couple cars with snow tires. But, most people aren't smart enough to put them on so they try and get by with bald all seasons. I've seen a couple wreaks infront of me due to that. I have a decent set of A/T's that are severe snow rated on the Tacoma. The Subaru has a set of all seasons, but I doubt I'll throw that in the snow much. I need to find a set of wheels for it to mount a set of snows, but I have to have 17" and up wheels due to the caliper design up front. :spending:

As you're seeing from other responses here, not so much. So I would like to add this. I lived near Buffalo a couple years and they never canceled anything for snow, so I learned to drive in it a bit. When it snows here, I try not to go out if I can help it not because I don't think I can handle going out in snow, but because round here, everyone becomes super unsafe to be around. More than normal.
