The Four County Society of Model Engineers has their modular model railroad setup and running next to the Boscovs inside of the Westminster mall. Pretty incredible detailed/realistic scenery and model trains. It's free to walk around and enjoy it.

 

My parents would take my brother & I every Christmas season to the local fire station train garden. I carried on that tradition with my stepson. For many years before I was born my grandfather had a train set up on the 3rd floor of his Canton rowhome. I think that's why I like trains and one of the reasons why I love living here in the mountains. Close enough to hear the train whistle off in the distance.

 

The firehouse where my Dad worked always had a Christmas train garden, I used to always look forward to seeing it every year. He also lived in a rowhouse in Dundalk, every year he would set up the tree on a 4x4 platform and run a track around it and run his Lionel trains.

 

We use to go to the Wise ave fire department every year.

 

My buddy up here on the mountain decided to sell one of his properties and asked me to ask around. Located in Great Cacapon WV 25422. It's a singlewide with addition on 5 unrestricted acres with a shed. It's has well, septic & electric. It's on a private road. I can go over and take pics if anyone is interested and pass along the seller's number. My buddy just sent me these 2 interior pics. It's not listed online. Lot #13. $60k

 

I know that place and that surprises me.

He's getting ready to retire and move up here into the house he just built. His wife told me they spent the pole barn money on a new fully loaded GMC duramax 4x4 for him and a new fully loaded suburban 4x4 for his wife. He needs a pole barn and wants to recoup some money to have one built. He pays cash for everything, he doesn't want to finance it. You know GM owners, they have to buy a new vehicle every few years lol.
