No I haven't seen him, I think it may be too cold for him to be out & about. I seen the truck parked on his property tho.

Cold, windy & all the snow is now frozen over with ice. I'm about to head out in the SxS. More snow is predicted for today. My ole Fisher woodstove has the cabin at 76°. Dog is loving it.

    Something like these fellas here?

I haven't selected a bumper yet, so I feel like that would help, but having a winch means it'll likely see a serious load either way.

    That would work, yes.

I highly recommend, from personal experience, talking to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and/or Colton @memario1214 before ordering anything. They both know their stuff and are always down to help, even if you choose not to buy from them. Unbelievable customer service.

I am very happy with my ome stuff. It has never let me down. Never given me up. Never stopped me from running around. Never deserted me, either :)

As for a bumper - i just picked up a c4 fab front. Its surprisingly light weight. Highly recommend!

I seriously appreciate the resources. I habe to determine my budget, but I might be able to swing $2k, and put any remainder toward bumpers.

Your pup looks totally content, what a beauty. Woke up today and it was 52 degrees at 5:30 am. Its now 25 and dropping. I just kicked the propane fireplace on. This is Molly my OES that I rescued from a shitty situation. Her first 5 years were spent in a mud room and she was confined to a crate. When we got her she was 78 pounds, smelled like wet yeast, nails curled under, totally skittish and had raging ear infections. This is her 4 years later at 54 pounds of muscle living on easy street...best dog ever. She will move as soon as the blower kicks on. She will lay outside on the concrete patio in single digit weather. She is built for the cold....me, not so much. What's your pups name?

Good looking pup, thanks for rescuing her. The wife & I rescued our pup Buttercup in 2014 from a city ran kill shelter in Philadelphia. She was "timestamped" to be euthanized that day at 5pm. We left the shelter with her at 4pm. We were told she was adopted out twice and returned. The rather rude city employee at the shelter told us we would be returning her due to her behavioral issues. I told her I've held every dog I've had til they took their last breath. All she needed was some TLC and a little training. She's been a great addition to our family. As I get older I prefer to be with my dog over people lol. 2nd pic is the pic that the shelter volunteer took and posted on Craigslist. My wife fell in love with those eyes.

She is magnificent. An hour from death. You can see her soul in those eyes. You and your wife get an extra jewel on your crown when you get to the pearly gates. When we took Molly to our vet for the first time he suggested that we should put her down because of her history. She was five. Five!!! She is an angel. They just need the right home. I get the heebie jeebies when I think about how many dont get rescued.

hybrid one - tubes vs plates because i have the softer ome’s up front. here’s the pic from their site.

if you want to tow, i suggest the firestone airbags - i have them dropping into daystar cradles and i love em. I moved from okc to md with a full bed, and towing a mini - made for 10,500lbs gross weight and the truck was level and rode well. Here’s the convoy/load

Do what I did and buy it a piece or two at a time over a couple months. I blew up my rear diff for the second time and it took over a month to get it sorted. When I knew it was going out, i started ordering little bits here and there. Fortunately the diff was warrantied by ECGS (another company that I literally CANNOT recommend enough, phenomenal staff and support).

I even had time to clear coat my shocks for extra protection:

Now that's a smexy bumper. And frankly, I don't think I would need to have padeyes welded onto it. I think I might just be able to quick-fab a mount for the center bar, to pivot and elevate or lower a pole with reindeer on it for the Santa time.

I don't know how much towing I'll be doing with this thing though, mostly just hauling a bed load. Maybe one day I'll get a boat and look into those bags. Thanks for the recommendation!

I have a hybrid bumper on the front of my 4runner. I didn't want the extra weight of a plate bumper.

seems to be a common theme today. Meet deacon, lazy lab who hasn’t moved all day. Went out in the wind and he said “nope.”

My GF fell in love with Buttercup when we stopped by recently.

Between having to put down her dog and then Clarence ( my orange tabby buddy) over the summer, she has been heartbroken. She just talked nonstop about Buttercup on the way home that night. All of her critters have been rescues.

Today she sent me a text with a picture of Clarence from last Christmas, helping me open a gift. I just lost it, I still miss that guy.
