Will do man. Steve also has them. Does anyone know if his wife gave birth and how they are doing? Haven't heard from him in a while.

I haz flowmaster 40. had it on for 6-7 years now, though the rest of the exhaust has been through multiple revisions.

current setup is a modified doug thorely y-pipe, single in/out 40 series, and a 45 degree turn-down, right out of the mffler, before the axle.

    best sound clip I have

there are rumors out there that flowmasters like to rust out, but this one has spent most of it's life a mile from the beach, no issues. when it wasn't at the beach, it was up north for the winter, on salty roads. so pretty much worst case scenario all year round. still works fine.

This^^ ive heard that they both had rust issues, and that the rear hangers are backwards on some of them..... the sound clip you provided sounds nice, its not obnoxiously loud either

can't comment on the hangers, since I just got the muffler and welded it in instead of getting the entire cat-back.

maybe they use a different coating on the cat-backs. but the 40 series by itself has held up just fine. I always hear about them rusting, but have yet to meet someone who has had that happen. makes me wonder....

mine's fairly loud in the cab, but that's because I have it cut in front of the rear axle. cut it after the axle or have it exit the side like stock and it'll quiet down the cab.

I put on the American Thunder Series Catback system on my truck back in April. My gibson Catback rusted out right after the muffler after 3 years.
I can't speak on the flowmaster yet for rust. But I've had my check engine light continue to come on. Due to insufficient reading on the O2 sensor.
My mechanic (uncle) and I are trying to figure it out now. He's leaning toward it being too much flow. I'm thinking and hoping its a bad o2 sensor.

The flowmaster has a much louder grunt to it compared to the Gibson.
