I got…got by the napa axles again.

    6F6F535F-0147-4068-B88B-A9D324526811.jpg

i backed up slightly aggressively with the wheels turned to the right and stabbed the brake pedal….then i heard a big pop. The c clip must not be in spec because the axle just popped straight out on the passenger side. She started pissing gear oil everywhere. I was able to pop it right back in by hand….but now that i’ve experienced this, the napas will only be an emergency use part. I’m going to rebuild my OEM axles and put them back in.

This is the part number for the boot kit: 04428-04010

The other set did great until the boots exploded….these ones just felt cheaper when I picked them up.

now i’m trying to figure out what other toyota parts I might still need since i’ll be placing another Mcgeorge parts order

Does anyone have the power window schematics for the 2nd gen. 2015 if you can narrow it down even further. My rear PS window decided it wasn't going to get power anymore more all of a sudden. We were able to get the window up by using a car battery, jumper cables, and screw drivers. Now I got to find out why the power isn't getting there.

Good evening, all. I've been watching a few of the YT weather guessers, it looks like Fri/ Sat and Mon/Tues could be a bit wintery for everyone that lives west of the I-95 corridor. My GF returns from Germany on Sat, so I have a fun trip to make to Dulles then back to Frederick. I want to take the 4runner as I just feel like it's a better winter weather vehicle but the tire treads are getting pretty low, maybe I need to swap the 17" 5th gen 4runner wheels/tires back onto the 4runner and put the steelies/highway treads back on the Taco. The runner seems to be driving really well with the new 4600 Billies and the new rear upper shock mounts, I'm happy to be driving it again.

Where has Detroit Darin been? I haven't seen many posts from him lately. Maybe his winter weather Jinx is finally broken!

I’ve been asking myself that as well. Though I think I saw an Instagram post of him in a plane, so maybe a trip…

That undercarriage is very clean for a northeast vehicle. You have a new frame?
This weather has been so weird. It was 60 on Monday, now snow is being forecasted.

Maybe the snow is on its way because @DetroitDarin abandoned us
